In the piping systems, stub end are fitting used in place of welded flanges where lap joint flange are required, they are also called lap joints or vanstone flared laps. Stub ends are installed in pairs and mated together with two lap joint flanges, the surface of the stub end can be regard as a gasket which prevent leakage at the joint. Using stub end allows sections of the line to be opened for cleaning, inspeciton or quick replacement etc, avoid the inconvenience of re-welding. Stub end can be divided into Long barrel type and Short barrel type. Under certain design criteria such as temperature or pressure etc, it is not acceptable to have the joint between stub end and pipe in close proximity with the flange joint, in these applications Long barrel type stub end are used.

Our high ranges of stub end are widely preferred by users due to their tensile strength, corrosion and abrasion resistance, its durability and precision had been tested and verified.Since stub ends are made from material compatible with the designed piping system, the lap joint flanges do not have to be made from the same material. The flange can be made from less expensive material because it never comes in contact with the process fluid.

The material of the Stub end which Bellowman be able to provide is Carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel, and of course the custom made stub end also can be provided as per the required material.
